MAK’IT Scientific Council
Role and responsibilities
The MAK’IT Scientific Council (MASC) is an independent organ that supports MAK’IT strategic development, with the following three main tasks:
- Provide advice and recommendations on the scientific strategy, positioning, themes and activities of the Institute;
- Evaluate applications within the framework of MAK’IT’s different calls for applications;
- Contribute to the international visibility and promotion of the Institute, circulate information on its hosting programmes and activities, make suggestions regarding researchers and other stakeholders who could be invited at the Institute.

Working modalities
The MASC meets twice a year, usually virtually in September/October and physically in Montpellier on the occasion of MAK’IT Annual Conference in March/April.
